‘Homage to Mildred Holland’
This painting is my homage to an ordinary Victorian lady who completed an extraordinary feat of determination and endurance.
Mildred Holland was a Rector’s wife who took it upon herself to decorate the entire church roof of St. Mary, Huntingfield, Suffolk, between 1859 and 1866.
The painting is acrylic on canvas. 3ft x 2ft. Framed with glass and ready to hang.
