Inspired by the Angels which form part of the Rood screen in St. Helen's church, Ranworth, Norfolk. (Shown here as part of a 'heavenly host' of Angels).

Their typically English features and their feathered bodies are also regular features of the Norwich School of Glass Painting, which flourished in the fifteenth century. Such angels appear in the tracery lights of many church windows throughout Norfolk.
